Famous American clipper ship built in Baltimore. Designed for speed and maneuverability, the clipper ships built in Baltimore in the early 1800’s became known as Baltimore clippers. With her elegant lines, large deck area and plentiful cargo space, the Albatros is a typical example.

Mantua’s plank-on-bulkhead kit features laser cut plywood keel and frames.

Other wooden parts include limewood hull planking, mahogany veneer deck, walnut masts, captstan and trim.

Fittings are walnut and brass. Seven carriage mounted, turned bras cannon grace the decks.

Two sheets of plans and illustrated instructions make construction trouble-free.
